O Fantasma da Ópera é um livro inserido dentro da literatura gótica, com os gêneros de ficção e romance. Foi lançado em 1910, no formato de volume, pelo escritor francês Gaston Leroux. A narrativa se passa, em sua maior parte, dentro da Ópera Garnier, localizada em Paris. Por ter este livro como o meu favorito absoluto decidi para este projeto final da qualificação de Design Editorial recriá-lo totalmente do zero, pois ao conferir os que já estão em circulação, notei que seus designs eram extremamente simplistas e queria mudar isso.
Todo o livro foi pensado. Suas cores são inspiradas nas encontradas dentro da Ópera Garnier, sendo elas adornadas em tons de dourado e vermelho. Dentro do livro, se encontram também diversas ilustrações sendo elas homenagens as adaptações já feitas do Fantasma.
Ao todo, foram 392 páginas diagramadas, 2 extras e mais de 27 ilustrações, sendo em sua maioria das partituras originais do Musical: O Fantasma da Ópera. The Phantom of the Opera is a book within Gothic literature, with the genres of fiction and romance. It was released in 1910, in volume format, by the French writer Gaston Leroux. The narrative takes place, for the most part, inside the Opera Garnier, located in Paris. Because I have this book as my absolute favorite I decided for this final project of the Editorial Design qualification to recreate it completely from scratch, because when checking the ones already in circulation I noticed that their designs were extremely simplistic and I wanted to change that.
The whole book was thought out. Its colors are inspired by those found inside the Opera Garnier, which is completely adorned by shades of gold and red. Inside the book, one finds several allusions and homages to the adaptations already made of the work.
In all, there were 392 pages diagrammed, 2 extras, and more than 27 illustrations, most of them original scores of the Musical: The Phantom of the Opera. Below, I'll show you a preview of how the final result was, but to check it out in full, just follow the link.
